Full of Resolve: Police Blotter Spotlight
Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department officials showed up to find out why the parking lot at Equinox Gym was so crowded last Thursday.
Fire Inspector Ciraco and Fire Chief Pecchia responded to a call at Equinox Gym at 1053 W. Boston Post Rd. at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 13.
The parking lot was so overcrowded with eager and enthusiastic exercisers—with cars lined up in makeshift parking spaces that were actually fire lanes—that emergency vehicles were unable to gain access. As it is against the law to park in fire lanes, several summonses were issued for illegal parking. The general manager of the gym was asked to address the issue with gym clients.
