Grab A Coffee With A Village of Mamaroneck Cop At McDonald's

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department is inviting residents to take a break to informally chat over a cup of Joe.

VILLAGE OF MAMARONECK, NY — Bring questions and suggestions for your neighborhood police officers at the next "Coffee with a Cop" in the Village of Mamaroneck, this Wednesday.

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department is inviting local residents this Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., to share a cup of coffee with local police officers.

The meet-and-greet will be a great chance for police officers and community members to learn more about each other and to strengthen community ties in a casual, friendly environment.

"We hope that community members will feel comfortable to ask questions, bring concerns, or simply get to know our officers," Chief Sandra DiRuzza said. "These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships."

"Coffee with a Cop" is a national initiative supported by The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The event is being held across the nation, as local police departments aim to make lasting connections with the communities they serve. The program aims to advance community policing by improving relationships between police officers and community members, one cup of coffee at a time.
