Gun-Toting Man From New Rochelle Arrested at Mamaroneck Station
Police say the man lied about his name after being taken into custody, but his fingerprints pointed to his true identity.

MAMARONECK, NY — Police answering 911 emergency calls about a man with a gun at the train station said they found a suspect who wasn't who he first claimed to be on Wednesday.
Village of Mamaroneck Police Department officers and detectives searching the area in response to the calls from the public found and detained a 44-year-old man from New Rochelle. A semi-automatic pistol was recovered and the suspect was arrested, according to authorities.
The suspect is said to have given a false name to prevent himself from being identified by police. Only later was the man positively identified by his fingerprints. He was charged with both false personation and felony criminal possession of a weapon.
