Larchmont Couple Plead Guilty to Grand Larceny and Tax Evasion

Denise and Christopher MacDonald own three businesses in Larchmont and Rye.

A Larchmont couple who own Twinkle Toes Baby, a clothing store in both Rye and Larchmont, pleaded guilty to tax evasion and grand larceny on Friday.

Denise and Christopher MacDonald, of 1943 Palmer Ave., pled guilty after the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office conducted a 12-month investigation into their three Larchmont businesses—Twinkle Toes, the landscaping company C.W.M. Horticultural Services and the home furnishings store Wish Home Styles.

All three of the couple’s business each also pled guilty to one count of grand larceny on Friday.

In July, authorities accused Mrs. MacDonald, 47, and her 53-year-old husband of collecting New York State sales tax from 1998-2009 without giving any of that money to the state. The couple also had not paid personal income taxes to the state since 2004.

The couple will pay $542,066 in restitution. They will be sentenced on June 14.
