Larchmont Newcomers Club Sponsors 'Off the Hook' Coat Drive
Called "Off the Hook," the coat drive runs until Nov. 1.

The Larchmont Newcomers Club, a civic and social organization, is sponsoring a coat drive to benefit the Mamaroneck Child Development Center, Hope Community Services, and/or the New Rochelle Community Action Program, according to officials.
Called “Off the Hook,” the coat drive runs until Nov. 1. New or lightly used coats can be dropped off at one of the following locations:
- Larchmont Fire Department, 120 Larchmont Ave, Larchmont
- Mamaroneck Public Library,136 Prospect Ave., Mamaroneck
Additionally, people can contact LNC’s Andrea Simpson, at andrea.n.simpson@hotmail.com, “to arrange a drop-off at your convenience.” The group also accepts donations on its website through Paypal; click the ”Donate” button on the page for more information.

According to the group, based on statistics provided by the Westchester Department of Social Services, the rate of homelessness in the county grew by 24 percent in the past year.
