Larchmont Police Blotter: June 26 - July 3

A Mount Vernon firefighter is reported missing after going for a swim on the Long Island Sound.

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the Larchmont Police Department between June 26 and July 3:

Missing person

A Mount Vernon man was reported missing on June 26 by a friend. James Drago, 49, went missing while boating on the Long Island Sound.  He was last seen swimming in the proximity of his boat, which was anchored off the southern shore line of the Village of Larchmont.  A search of the area was conducted by several marine units from neighboring jurisdictions and the coast guard with negative results.

Criminal mischief

The manager of CVS of Chatsworth Avenue reported on June 26 that an unidentified male entered the store during the afternoon hours.  The male, who reportedly appeared intoxicated, became irate at some point, and upon leaving the store punched the glass sliding door shattering the glass.  He then fled the area.

Criminal mischief

A Park Avenue resident reported on June 28 that he discovered a stone column attached to a retaining fence had been damaged.

Larceny

A Harrison Drive resident reported on July 2 that sometime during the day someone stole her bicycle, valued at $700, from Lot 3.

19 burglar alarms

7 motor vehicle accidents

4 aided cases

42 other calls for service
