Larchmont Police Blotter: March 20-27
$2,500 bike goes missing after owner leaves it in friend's garage for almost six months.
The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the Larchmont Police Department between March 20-27:
Larceny
- A Connecticut man reported on March 22nd that sometime between October 1st, 2009, and March 21, 2010, someone stole his bicycle, valued in excess of $2500, while it was housed in the garage of the residence of a friend on Oak Avenue.

- A Palmer Avenue business owner reported on March 26 that sometime during the early morning hours someone stole boxes containing consumable goods from the front of his business.
Vehicle impound

A scofflaw vehicle with $265 in outstanding fines was impounded and towed from West Ave on March 24.
Arrest warrant
A Mamaroneck Village man was returned on a vehicle and traffic law misdemeanor warrant on March 27 after being cited for an unrelated violation by Mamaroneck Village Police. Steven Ortega, 22, was produced before the court and released on $95 bail.
In addition to the preceding, Larchmont Police officers also responded to the following:
- 11 burglar alarms
- 3 motor vehicle accidents
- 9 aided calls
- 40 other calls for service
