Larchmont's Voracious Reader to Receive James Patterson Grant

The Voracious Reader bookstore in Larchmont was named one of dozens of independent book retailers to receive a grant in 2015 from best-selling author James Patterson, who made the announcement on his website Monday.

Patterson donated more than $1 million in 2014 to support independent book sellers, and will donate nearly $500,000 in 2015, according to BuzzFeed.

Several bookstores in New York were selected to receive grants, but The Voracious Reader was the only one in Westchester for 2015. Overall, 81 independent bookstores in the country are receiving money.
