LMC Media Plays Key Communications Role During the Pandemic

LMC ramps up activity and adopts new technology platforms to meet community's information needs during crisis

LMC Media, our community’s public access television and media network didn’t waste any time when the pandemic “hit home” and led to a shut-down of virtually all non-essential activity throughout the county and state.

At a time when accurate information is even more critical than ever, LMC Media has stepped into play an important communications role. LMC Media has facilitated the dissemination of critical information regarding COVID-19 news/efforts by our municipal and public school leaders. Besides ensuring that the community is kept informed, LMC Media worked closely with the Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck, the Town of Mamaroneck, and the Mamaroneck School District to create public virtual meetings through ZOOM and LMC-administered platforms, ensuring transparency and continued community participation in local government.

One key piece of LMC’s new programming is the ongoing weekly series initiated on April 2 called Community Conversations LIVE!, featuring a discussion with tri-municipal leaders Lorraine Walsh, Nancy Seligson, and Tom Murphy on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm. This interactive show with the official was will continue weekly while needed. Members of the community can email their questions to lmctv@lmctv.org. The program can be viewed on lmctv.org, YouTube, channel 36 (Verizon) or channel 75 (Optimum).
