Long Island Man Raids Mamaroneck CVS
A 46-year old Long Island man stole $400 worth of merchandise from CVS on Saturday.

A 46-year old West Hempstead, Long Island man pilfered $400 worth of merchandise off the shelves at the CVS on 1100 E. Boston Post Rd. on Saturday at approximately 7 p.m., then ran out of the store, jumping into an idling getaway car outside.
Police pulled over the man and his getaway car driver, a 57-year old man also from West Hempstead.
In addition to the $400 worth of merchandise taken from the CVS, police found $1,300 worth of stolen goods, possibly from other CVS locations, in the vehicle. The 46-year old man was also in possession of heroin.

The 46-year old man was arrested and charged with petty larceny, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony. The driver of the getaway car was arrested and charged with petty larceny and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony.
Both men were arraigned and transported to Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, said Village of Mamaroneck Spokesperson Detective Sandra DiRuzza.
