Mamaroneck FBLA Attends National Fall Leadership Conference
The annual National Fall Leadership Conference for FBLA took place in Charlotte, North Carolina this November.

The annual National Fall Leadership Conference for the Eastern Region took place on November 16th and 17th.
The Conference was held in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chapters from all over the country gathered in Charlotte, taking advantage of all the city has to offer. Many attending chapters visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Bank of America Stadium. The Conference was a success from start to finish!
Throughout the conference, students attended various informative workshops, thrusting themselves into the business world. One workshop led by Thomas Mueller was called “Yes And…”. In an interactive workshop, students were taught how to use improvisation in the business world. Students were taught to go with the flow and piggyback off of others’ ideas. Other workshops offered at the conference include, “Kiki, doth thee Loveth Me?”, “How to Speak in Public Without Fainting”, “How Does Wall Street Work?”, and “Make Money with Your Ideas Today”.

The first day ended with opening session. The National Officers welcomed students to Charlotte and introduced keynote speaker Brandon Lee. Lee, an author and youth mover, stressed the importance of overcoming adversity in order to pursue your dreams. Students left the session inspired and ready to create, lead, and inspire!
Closing session and a festive dance took place on the second day of the conference. Another keynote speaker, Carlos V. Spencer, took the stage. Spencer encouraged students to follow the motto: “what you put into your life, is what you will get out of your life”.

The Conference was extremely successful. Students expanded their networks and strengthened their business skills. Members from Alabama, Missouri, New York, Texas, Massachusetts, and even the U.S. Virgin Islands attended the conference.
The 2018 National Fall Leadership Conference provided students with an experience they will never forget. Members will reunite at the National Fall Leadership Conference in San Antonio this summer.
