Over the weekend, Mamaroneck FBLA attended the National Fall Leadership Conference, which was held in Washington D.C. The trip meant plenty of opportunities and led to Mamaroneck expanding its influence to other chapters across the nation.

Mamaroneck FBLA members took the chance to network with other young business-driven students, strengthening their public speaking and communication skills.

Workshops were plentiful and provided an opportunity for Mamaroneck FBLA members to prepare for skills needed in the business world, such as “How to Manage a Team Project” and “How to Execute a Proper Job Interview” or “How to Properly Use Technology for Your Business.”

Without a doubt, Mamaroneck FBLA enjoyed their stay in the nation’s capital. As a chapter, Mamaroneck visited the White House, the United States Capitol, the Smithsonian Museum of American History, the National Mall, and Old Georgetown. Along the way, the members treated themselves to restaurants, ice cream parlors, and snack bars around the city.

The Conference also consisted of an opening and closing ceremonies, in which all chapters attending the trip were present. There was also a dance party in which all chapters were invited, themed “blue jeans for babies,” to commemorate the March of Dimes charity organization, partners with the FBLA movement.
