Mamaroneck FBLA Hosts Fall District Meeting
Mamaroneck FBLA hosts the annual New York State District 3S Fall District Meeting
This past week, Mamaroneck FBLA held the annual Fall District Meeting for New York State District 3S at Mamaroneck High School. Members at the meeting were able to attend various educational workshops, while also listening to an engaging presentation from keynote speaker Russell Wolff. Later in the evening, the District Officer Team for the upcoming year was announced.
The meeting was organized by New York State District 3S Vice President Michaela Gualano. The event was held at Mamaroneck High School, due to the fact that Gualano is a member of Mamaroneck FBLA. The meeting was widely attended, with members from schools such as: Hendrick Hudson High School, Lakeland High School, and Loyola High School. The event was huge success from start to finish!
The night began with Gualano introducing the keynote speaker for the night: Russell Wolff. Wolff, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of ESPN International, lectured the audience on pursuing their dreams and finding their passion.

Following the captivating speech, members from District 3S headed to classrooms to attend workshops. Various workshops were offered to members, one being how to effectively negotiate. Members were taught how to barter, make counter-offers, and analyze the other side of the negotiation. Other workshops included State Officers teaching members how to fundraise, the recipe to becoming a strong public speaker, and how to have effective business conversations.
During the meeting, potential District Officers were interviewed and selected for each position. Later in the evening, the District Officer Team was announced.
