Mamaroneck FBLA Memorializes Another Fantastic Year at Their Annual Banquet

Mamaroneck FBLA says farewell to this year's past officers, and inducts new officers at their annual end of year banquet.

On Thursday, June 8th, the Mamaroneck High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America hosted their annual end of year banquet at the Coveleigh Club in Rye. Mamaroneck FBLA is fortunate to have Ms. Maria Siciliano as Chapter Advisor, who was recognized at this year's State Leadership Conference for her contributions. The banquet was extremely successful in fundraising for the Chapter through many raffles and silent auctions. The money will be used to help fund expenses of the Club in the coming school year.

The purpose of the banquet was to thank the outgoing Officers for their contributions and dedication, and to introduce new Officers for crucial positions. The Officers are a substantial part of the success of the Club. FBLA is primarily a student run organization, and the Officers oversee many aspects of the club, such as community service, managing finances, and organizing Club meetings. The outgoing Officers were very emotional giving their farewell speeches at the banquet.

The outgoing Officers included:

Mamaroneck Senior, Sophia Danziger, who graduates this year, leaves behind a formidable legacy of superior service and leadership to the Mamaroneck Chapter, having served as this past year's New York State President and National Eastern Regional Vice President.

The process of choosing the new Officers was a difficult one, and elections were held prior to the banquet. Candidates engaged in interviews with Senior Officers, completed applications and resumes and, for most positions, presented a speech in front of Club members.
