Mamaroneck Man Charged in Harrison with DWI

Police said they found him passed out behind the wheel of a running car.

State police arrested a Mamaroneck man Sunday for allegedly driving drunk.

Gregory Montes, 49, was taken into custody after police responded to a report of a disabled vehicle in the center lane of I-95 near Exit 19 in Harrison.

Troopers found Montes passed out behind the wheel while the 2003 Volkswagen Passat’s ignition was running and the lights were on.

Montes was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22 percent.

He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

Montes was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket to return to Town of Harrison Court Feb. 16.
