Mamaroneck Offers Residents Online Chance To Weigh In On Town's Future

MAMARONECK, NY — If you didn't get a chance to attend any of the workshops or other events during which Mamaroneck residents and officials have been identifying needs and actions for the future of the town, you now have another chance to weigh in.

"Over the past several months, the Town, with input from residents, helped identify community needs and actions for the future of the Town," Town Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney said in an email to residents. "The next step, through community workshops, is to review our analysis of your comments and ideas to see if we’ve got it right!"

Many people turned out to a workshop on Nov. 30 that showcased the proposed goals, policies, and actions of the draft Comprehensive Plan.

"For those of you who were unable to attend in person, we have created an online experience," she said.

How to participate

To tell the folks working on the new Comprehensive Plan if they're on track for your vision for the future of the town, first watch a presentation from the Comprehensive Plan consultant and review the Draft Policy Framework that supports the Nov. 30 Community Workshop & Online Experience.

Things to consider:

• Does the draft policy framework for each themed area respond to your needs? Does it lead to the Mamaroneck that you want to see in the future? Does it embody your vision for Mamaroneck?
• If it does, then tell us why/how.
• If something is missing, then tell us what’s missing.
• Or if the policy framework does not respond to your needs, then tell us why

Then, head over to the T.O.M. Comprehensive Plan Policy Framework Comment Board to add your input.
