The incidents below occurred between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4.

Here is a look at what happened in the village and town of Mamaroneck at the end of 2009 and on the first few days of the New Year:

The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department reported

1) An arrest for trying to cash a forged check. On Dec. 29, at about 1:40 p.m., Melanie J. Rivera, 26, of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a forget document at the TD Bank on 1289 Boston Post Rd.

2) A keyed car. On Friday, Jan. 1st, at approximately 1 p.m., the automobile's panel and trunk lid were keyed while parked at the Webster Bank on 1265 Boston Post Rd in Mamaroneck. The subject is unknown and the investigation continues. 

3) Two cases of identity theft. The first case was reported on Dec. 30th, but took place in May 2009. It involved an unknown subject opening several credit cards in the victim's name. The second case took place on Dec. 31st.

4) Six automobile accidents

5) Two harassment reports. No arrests were made. 

 

The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department reported

1) A lost golf cart. On Dec. 31st, at about 11:39 p.m., an unmarked golf cart was found by police on 315 Claflin Ave. in Mamaroneck. The area was canvassed for the owner, but no one was found. The cart was secured and towed. It hasn't been claimed. 

2)  Four larceny incidents

3) Twelve auto accident reports

4) Two cases of harassment and one case of domestic violence

5) Two cases of criminal mischief
