Mamaroneck Resident Convicted For Crime Against 9-Year Old Boy
Elmer Antonio Pinto, 20, was convicted today of sexually abusing a 9-year old boy.

A 20-year old resident of the Village of Mamaroneck, Elmer Antonio Pinto, was found guilty today of one count of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a class “B” felony and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a class “A” misdemeanor.
Pinto, who lives on 243 Center Ave., was arrested on after the 9-year old victim pointed to a “Wanted” poster at the police station and alluded to an officer that his relative had done something bad to him, and should be caught by police.
This led to VOM police opening an investigation against Pinto, who was known to the boy, after the victim identified him as having engaged in sexual conduct two or more times with him between June 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010, including at least one incident of anal sex.

Additionally, Pinto performed sexual acts in front of the victim and showed him pornographic videos.
Pinto, who was convicted following a jury trial today, faces between 5-25 years in state prison. He will be sentenced on May 24.

Assistant District Attorney Christine Hatfield of the Child Abuse/Elder Abuse Bureau is prosecuting the case.
