How did you come up with the name? It was actually a filler name. I used it as the name in my business plan before I even thought of a name. I then spent countless days trying to think of a name when I realized my filler name was the best one I could come up with — so it stuck!
Why start a business in this town? I grew up here and felt that it would be a great place to start with a storefront. I had originally owned my business, under a different name, from my home. When I realized I wanted a storefront and to open a salon, I thought what better place to start than the place where I grew up and people already know me?

What business are you in? Makeup and hairdressing. Glo is a full-service makeup and hair salon.
What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner? Maintaining a steadiness of new clients coming in. It's been an on-going process that we have succeeded in. However, like any business, we always love when new clients come in; new people coming into the salon and seeing what we are all about and loving the atmosphere. The best advertisement is referrals and word of mouth, so new clients chatting with their friends about the "new salon" they came to and how much they love it is what we strive for.
