New Zoning Laws OK'd By Larchmont Village

More zoning changes have been proposed.

LARCHMONT, NY — Eleven new zoning laws were unanimously approved Monday by the Larchmont village board of trustees.

The regulations given the go-ahead include increased setback requirements, lot size limitation and requirements to consider tree preservation, according to an article at lohud.com.

Six additional proposed local laws will be the subject of a public hearing set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19.

The moratorium, which was on large-scale development, was put into place in January. It was in response to community concern over a proposal to demolish an Ocean Avenue home and replace it with four houses.
