2 Taken To Hospital After I-95 Collision, Semi Rollover In Westchester

TOWN OF MAMARONECK, NY — A car vs. semi collision on the New England Thruway that left the tractor-trailer overturned, and sent two to the hospital, snarling the morning commute in Westchester.

State police responded to the crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle that occurred at around 7 a.m. today, on I-95 southbound, near exit 17 in the Town of Mamaroneck.

Two accident victims were taken to Westchester Medical Center with minor injuries, according to NYSP.

The right and center lanes remain blocked, but traffic is moving through the left lane, police said. The New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, heavy tow, and NYS Thruway Maintenance are on scene for vehicle recovery and lane openings.

State police said an accident investigation is continuing through the morning, and asked motorists to avoid the area.
