Police Blotter: Baby Jesus Bandit On the Loose, Cell Phone Thief Targets Distracted Owners and Fake Script

Friday, Jan. 6
2:20 p.m. – A 36-year old man was issued a summons for littering in front of 663 Old White Plains Rd.

5:02 p.m. – Police received a complaint of loud noises emanating from a potential daredevil who was revving the engine and spinning the tires of a car parked in front of 114 Rockland Ave., near . There was no violation observed, however, police advised the driver of the noise complaint.
7:34 p.m. – Failing to see a 70-year-old Harrison resident standing in front of a location on 544 Halstead Ave., an 86-year old village man inadvertently hit the man with his 2006 Chevy rather than sidestep him. No charges were issued. The victim refused medical attention.

Saturday, Jan. 7
4:00 a.m. – A 63-year-old village woman driving a 1996 Buick was stopped for a traffic infraction in front of 115 Halstead Ave. Upon further investigation, the woman was charged with DWI and arrested. The car was towed to the police impound by .
11:12 a.m. – After noticing new scratches etched on her window the day after it had been washed, a woman thought that the car wash on Mamaroneck Avenue was to blame for the damage.
2:08 p.m. – A $100 cell phone that was briefly left on the counter of a business on the 500 block of Mamaroneck Avenue, was missing when its owner returned.
5:08 p.m. - A bike worth $100 was taken from the front of a residence on Crown Court anytime between Jan. 5 at 6 p.m.- Jan. 7 at 3 p.m.
9:05 p.m. – A 38-year-old Port Chester man that had previously been engaged in a dispute with a 21-year-old village man, turned his wrath on police when they responded to the scene in front of 319 Fenimore Rd. The Port Chester man was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for yelling, screaming and causing a disturbance.
Sunday, Jan. 8
5:01 a.m. – A man reported that his $400 cell phone was swiped after it was left at a business on the 200 block of Mamaroneck Avenue.
1:04 p.m. – A woman reported that her wallet—which was left on the counter of a business on East Boston Post Road on Jan. 6—was gone when she went back to get it.
3:05 p.m. – A complaint that two men were preparing to fight in front of 225 Mamaroneck Ave., near the , was unfounded.

Friday, Jan. 6
8:25 a.m. – A Harmon Drive resident reported that a utility pole next to his house was damaged by an unknown person.
1:15 p.m. – A man reported damage to his 2010 Honda CRV from an unknown vehicle while it was parked at the on 1310 Boston Post Rd.
6:41 p.m. – An unknown woman attempted to fill a forged prescription at the CVS on 1310 Boston Post Rd., and fled the scene when she was questioned further by a pharmacist.
Saturday, Jan. 7
4:34 p.m. – A Rocky Hollow Road resident reported the theft of a $250 Garmin Nuvi 1490T GPS from an unlocked vehicle parked in their driveway.
Sunday, Jan. 8
3:20 a.m. – A baby Jesus, worth approximately $200, was swiped from the front yard of a residence on Edgewood Avenue.
