Police Blotter: BYOB At McDonalds, Pick-Up Artist Gets Nabbed and Telephone Pole Hit and Run

The following arrest information was supplied by the Village and Town of Mamaroneck police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Village of Mamaroneck

Friday, Sept. 30

12:06 a.m. – A village officer on routine patrol issued three 17-year-old Town of Mamaroneck females and an 18-year-old village man summonses for possession of an open container of liquor at McDonalds on 1205 W. Boston Post Rd. Another 19-year-old village man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.  All were issued appearance tickets and will need to appear in village court.

1:34 a.m. – A 38-year old village man was pulled over for an equipment violation in front of on 1202 W. Boston Post Rd. The man—driving a 1993 Pontiac—was then arrested and charged with DWI after he failed sobriety tests.

2:20 a.m. – Police arrived on the scene of a reported dispute between two women on Hillside Avenue; once on the scene, they arrested a 20-year-old White Plains woman for DWI after she failed sobriety tests.

12:41 p.m. – The owner of a 2006 Infiniti reported that it was struck while parked and unoccupied on Underhill Road.

9:14 p.m. – After approaching and following a woman who spurned his advances in front of on 265 Mamaroneck Ave., a 23-year-old New Rochelle man was arrested and charged with second degree harassment and unwanted contact.

Saturday, Oct. 1

10:05 a.m. – The owner of a 2001 GMC reported that the car was struck while it was parked and unoccupied in front of 630 Halstead Ave.

10:35 a.m. – After smashing into a telephone pole in Harrison, the dazed driver of a heavily damaged car continued driving without stopping to report the accident.  The Harrison Police Department traced the car—which was registered to a Mamaroneck address—and village police later found the car parked at a Lawrence Avenue address with damage to the front right side of the car.  Harrison Police were notified.

11:36 a.m. – A Shore Acres Drive resident reported $900 worth of fraudulent online purchases on his credit card,

3:24 p.m. – A false hold-up alarm was activated at a location on Halstead Avenue during installation.

Sunday, Oct. 2

2:46 a.m. – Police responded to a noise complaint originating from a residence on Fenimore Road.  The condition was corrected.

6:18 p.m. – The Harbor Unit responded to a 23-foot boat stuck in the rocks in the Long Island Sound.  The person on the boat was eventually rescued by the New Rochelle Fire Department/Harbor Unit.

9:51 p.m. – A third party reported an intoxicated person on Halstead Avenue. Police responded and took the person to the hospital.

Sunday, Oct. 2

10:30 p.m. – Although it was a quick run into the on 1310 Boston Post Rd., it was enough time for a thief to abscond with a 46-year-old Shore Drive resident’s unlocked Trek Tiburon 21 Speed Mountain Bike.  The bike was worth $700.
