Police Blotter: Caught Red-Handed and Dunkin' Donuts Brawl

A man was caught attempting to steal tools and two angry motorist got into a heated argument this week in the Village and Town of Mamaroneck.

Tuesday, Mar. 1

2:30 p.m. – A 39-year old Yonkers resident was charged with attempted petit larceny after he was caught trying to pilfer tools from a van in the area of Station Plaza.

Wednesday, Mar. 2

12:00 p.m. – A verbal dispute between a customer and employee at a business on the 300 Block of Mamaroneck Avenue was resolved amicably and no charges were pressed.

Thursday, Feb. 3

1:40 a.m. – A car was pulled over on the 200 Block of Mamaroneck Avenue and the driver was arrested for driving without a license.

6:34 p.m. – A driver was pulled over on Prospect Avenue and charged with having a suspended registration.

10:29 p.m. – Sandra Dylak, 46, was pulled over on the 400 Block of Mamaroneck Avenue and arrested for DWI.  Dylak is a resident of New Paltz, NY.

Tuesday, Mar. 1

2:00 p.m. – A 36-year old resident of Harmon Drive discovered puncture marks on all four tires of his car; the damage totaled $800.  The resident was unsure who the culprit could be.

5:15 p.m. – Two motorists—a 55-year old Rock Ridge Road resident and a 34 year-old Port Chester man—engaged in a shouting match at the Dunkin' Donuts on 1311 Boston Post Rd.   Neither party wanted to press charges.

7:34 p.m. – After a smash-up between a Mamaroneck and a White Plains resident’s vehicles, the offender fled the scene, leaving behind a damaged rear door on the victim’s 2012 grey Toyota.  The matter is under investigation.

Wednesday, Mar. 2

12:30 p.m. – An 87-year old resident of Country Club Road reported receiving phone calls of a threatening nature.  The matter is under investigation.
