Police Blotter: Eggs Launched At Unsuspecting Driver, I Spit On Your Mailbox and ID Thefts

The following arrest information was supplied by the Village and Town of Mamaroneck police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Feb. 19

9:07 p.m. – Three cars—parked and unoccupied on Franklin Avenue—were struck overnight by an unknown vehicle.

5:14 p.m. – A homeowner on Melbourne Avenue reported finding an animal bone of mysterious origin in his yard.

10:47 p.m. - While driving on West Boston Post Road, a caller reported his car being hit with a barrage of eggs that were launched out the window of a black Ford Explorer.

Monday, Feb. 20

11:41 a.m. – A former business associate made his current intentions known by spitting on a mailbox and leaving numerous Post-It notes of a non-threatening nature at an East Boston Post Road business, as part of an ongoing dispute over intellectual property.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

10:25 a.m. – An unknown person pilfered prescription medication left in an unlocked car parked on Walton Avenue anytime between Feb. 20 at 4 p.m. and Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.

11:45 a.m. – A graffiti tag was spray painted on a building on the 600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue.

6:47 p.m. - Police received a report of a shifty man following an elderly woman on the Metro North train platform, however, he had disappeared by the time they arrived.

Monday, Feb. 20

12:43 p.m. – A Rockingstone Avenue resident reported $500 worth of erroneous charges on his or her Citibank card.

6:36 p.m. – A Hickory Drive resident reported that his or her bank statements had $7,200 worth of fraudulent withdrawals.

Tuesday, Feb. 21

12:55 p.m. – A 14-year-old boy making a quick right turn onto Hommocks Road on his bike was hit by a 52-year-old man who attempted to go around him, not realizing the bicyclist was making a turn. The boy had cuts on his right hand and back pain as a result of the accident.

5:30 p.m. – A Vine Road resident reported $4,800 worth of fraudulent charges on his Citibank debit card.

5:39 p.m. – A Hickory Grove Drive West resident reported two suspicious charges on his debit card for $200 and $800.
