Police Blotter: Highway Robbery, Noisy Neighbors and Bike Versus Car

Saturday, May 5

3:31 a.m. – An individual driving a 2008 Mercury on Mamaroneck Avenue was pulled over for an equipment violation and, later, arrested for being an unlicensed driver.
10:00 p.m. – An intoxicated individual on Palmer Avenue was taken to the hospital for treatment.

11:37 p.m. – A Protano Lane resident complained that she was duped by a taxi driver after he quoted her an $11 rate for a trip from Harrison to Mamaroneck, and then unexpectedly jacked up the cost to $20 once she arrived. She was advised by police to contact the manager of Harrison Taxi Service as well as the Better Business Bureau.
Sunday, May 6
1:51 a.m. – Police received a noise compliant of a loud group on the balcony at on 211 Mamaroneck Ave. There were no people outside when police arrived, however, the music was lowered in an attempt to pacify the complainants.
12:13 p.m. – As she turned right onto Mamaroneck Avenue with her 2002 Honda, the 57-year-old village resident's car was slammed into by a 55-year-old village man riding a bike. The man was taken to the hospital with pain in his right ear.
5:29 p.m. – After police received a complaint of an intoxicated man attempting to break into a vehicle, they investigated the scene, but the man had disappeared.
10:32 p.m. – A verbal dispute over a parking space in front of 139 Dubois Avenue ended amicably.
Town of Mamaroneck
Friday, May 4
11:55 a.m. – A student reported his $120 Pentax camera missing from his locker. He was unsure if it was locked.
