Police Blotter: Man Steals $5 From Boy, 'Winning' Lottery Ticket Swiped and Aspiring Salon Owners Steal $1,200 in Hair Products
The following arrest information was supplied by the Village and Town of Mamaroneck police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, August 18
11:41 a.m. – A 29-year old Mt. Vernon woman was charged with fourth degree stalking after she repeatedly texted and called a 31-year old village woman who had asked her to stop.

12:58 p.m. – Originally responding to a complaint of a man exposing himself on Grand Street, police charged a 55-year man with disorderly conduct for screaming curses in public; the man, however, did not appear to be exposing himself when they arrived. The man was also charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found hydrocodone, an opioid, in his vehicle.
2:47 p.m. – A 25-year old Mt. Vernon man was issued a summons for operating a leaf blower on Heathcote Avenue.

5:57 p.m. – The owner of a business on Fayette Avenue reported $500 missing. The incident was documented.
7:35 p.m. – After leaving $200 in an unsecured locker at the on 124 Palmer Ave., a man returned to find it gone.
8:20 p.m. – A resident of Hillside Avenue reported a large indentation carved into his front door, that he believed was from someone banging against it. His door and locks were determined to be secure.
8:31 p.m. – A summons was issued to the owner of the car that was blocking a driveway on Waverly Avenue.
Friday, August 19
12:38 a.m. – A resident called in a complaint of a man keying cars on the 500 block of Palmer Avenue. Police investigated, however, they did not find any damaged cars or person fitting the description given by the caller.
1:56 a.m. – A 33-year old West Harrison man was stopped for a motor vehicle infraction in front of on 1625 Mamaroneck Ave. He was later arrested and charged with DWI.
2:58 p.m. – A 12-year old boy had $5 stolen directly from his pocket by a man wearing all black, approximately 5’8”-6’0”, who approached him on the street. There were no weapons brandished or injuries sustained.
5:14 p.m. – A 17-year old village resident driving a 2002 Acura was pulled over on Raleigh Road for a motor vehicle infraction. He was later charged with being an unlicensed driver.
Saturday, August 20
3:32 a.m. – After a caller reported that a 22-year old Harrison woman had smashed into a 1999 Plymouth on 415 Halstead Ave., police pulled over the woman and later charged her with DWI.
6:34 a.m. – A downed wire was reported on 405 E. Boston Post Rd. in front of . Verizon was notified.
7:40 a.m. – A downed tree branch was reported on Claffin Ave.
10:45 a.m. – Both a 57-year old homeless man a 54-year old village resident were issued summonses for possessing open containers of liquor on Halstead Avenue.
12:52 p.m. – A 52-year old village resident claimed that his $500 winning lottery ticket was swiped when he wasn’t looking, from a business on the 700 block of Mamaroneck Avenue.
4:57 p.m. – Three unknown men absconded with $1,200 worth of hair products from the on 275 Mamaroneck Ave.
Monday, August 21
1:37 a.m. – A 64-year old Town of Mamaroneck man has his backpack stolen by two strange men, who then sped away in a car.
11:08 a.m. – Two vehicles—a 2010 Hyundai and a 2009 Honda—were damaged while they were parked and unoccupied in front of 114 Florence St.

Friday, August 19
1:30 p.m. – A resident of Dimitri Place reported that someone fraudulently assumed her identity and attempted to transfer money from a home equity loan sometime between July 1 and August 11. She was informed by Citibank.
1:42 p.m. – A Valley Road resident reported an unauthorized $1,500 charge on her Chase Bank card. This was estimated to have occurred anytime between August 5-8.
Monday, August 21
4:03 p.m. – In another case of identity theft, a Country Club Drive resident reported fraudulent charges on her Bank of America card totaling $4,677. It was estimated to have occurred anytime between July 30-August 2.
