Police Blotter: Sidewalk Napping, Don't Take My Car and Mischief Night Came Early This Year
The following arrest information was supplied by the Village and Town of Mamaroneck police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.

Village of Mamaroneck
Sunday, July 3
12:02 a.m. – A resident of an apartment building on Mamaroneck Avenue reported that a man was snoozing in the hallway as a result of being intoxicated. When police arrived, the man had relocated his resting spot into his apartment.

2:10 a.m. – A 22-year old Yonkers resident driving a ’99 Nissan was pulled over by police on the 1200 block of West Boston Post Road for a motor vehicle violation. The girl was later arrested for DWI and taken to headquarters for processing.
11:50 a.m. – A car was struck while parked and unoccupied on the 300 block of East Boston Post Road. There was no damage to the vehicle.

8:47 p.m. – As she walked her dog down Center Avenue, a resident reported, an errant dog came loose from it’s constraints and unexpectedly bit her dog. When police arrived, the violent dog had fled. Police referred the resident to a local animal hospital for treatment of the dog’s bite.
Monday, July 4
12:35 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a man wearing a red striped shirt attempting to enter cars on the 900 block of Palmer Avenue. A 16-year old Town of Mamaroneck resident fitting that description was later arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and attempted petty larceny. No items were reported stolen from vehicles and there were no signs of forced entry to cars parked on that block.
2:07 a.m. – A man intoxicated to the point of unconsciousness was found sprawled on the sidewalk on Travers Avenue. He was transported to Sound Shore Hospital for further evaluation.
6:40 a.m. – Another unresponsive man was found sprawled on the sidewalk on Mamaroneck Avenue. No further information was given.
9:58 a.m. – The disgruntled landlord of an apartment on Travers Avenue reported that after his tenant of nine years was evicted and had vacated the premises, he left a trail of ruin in his wake, including gaping light fixtures, general filth and a large number of unwanted items. Police referred the landlord to civil court.
12:20 p.m. – A man reported a female stalker—a woman known to him—was following him in her vehicle for unknown reasons.
1:44 p.m. – A two car smash-up between a ’96 Ford and a ’03 Lincoln resulted in the two cars colliding in front of 921 W. Boston Post Rd. The driver of the Ford—a 22-year old Tillson, NY resident—was taken to Sound Shore Hospital with chin and face pain.
3:26 p.m. – Police investigated a report of a suspicious man lurking at the Palmer side of Mamaroneck High School. The 35-year old man was issued a village summons for having an open container of alcohol, however, it was unknown as to why he was loitering around the school swigging from a liquor bottle.
4:00 p.m. – A 28-year old village resident reported that he had been in a fight with an acquaintance on June 27, and suffered a fractured jaw as a result of a wayward punch to the face. The matter is currently under investigation.
8:00 p.m. – A ’05 Chevy struck a pedestrian on his left foot as he crossed Mamaroneck Avenue. The victim refused medical attention.
9:27 p.m. – A Rushmore Avenue resident reported that fireworks hit his boat, causing damage.
10:28 p.m. – Officers on routine patrol noticed a 19-year old Harrison resident publicly urinating in Harbor Island Park. The girl was arrested and charged with exposure.
Tuesday, July 5
12:12 a.m. – A woman reported her cell phone as missing from Harbor Island Park.
4:50 a.m. – A minor brush fire was extinguished by the responding local fire department at 422 N. Barry Ave.
8:16 a.m. – A Rushmore Avenue resident reported fireworks debris on his boat. There were no damages.
9:51 a.m. – An 11’ Mercedes Benz—parked and unoccupied in the driveway of a Hall Street residence—was entered overnight and papers in the vehicle were scattered. No items were reported missing.
10:50 a.m. – A dissatisfied person whose car was about to be impounded for unpaid parking tickets attempted to drive away. The driver’s attempt was unsuccessful and his car was hauled away to impound anyway.
11:21 a.m. – A disagreement turned heated over seats in a restaurant on Mamaroneck Avenue, causing the police to be called. The dispute had ended when police arrived.
1:02 p.m. – A resident of Florence Street reported their vehicle was entered by an unknown person, however, no damage occurred and no items were taken.
2:21 p.m. – An unlocked bike was reported as missing from a rack in a garage on the 100 block of Mamaroneck Avenue anytime between July 2 and July 5. The bike was valued at $100.
7:00 p.m. – A resident of Madison Street reported that the right rear tire of their ’99 Jeep was slashed on July 4, rendering it useless.
8:40 p.m. – A resident reported two of the license plates on their ’99 Jeep as missing.
Town of Mamaroneck
Monday, July 4
6:21 a.m. – A resident of Lafayette Road reported that her front lawn was coated with shaving cream and toilet paper and her driveway littered with the remnants of smashed eggs. The perpetrator was unknown.
12:44 p.m. – A 31-year old Larchmont Acres resident reported that the driver’s side window of his car was damaged while it was parked and unoccupied on 1265 Boston Post Rd. The window was valued at $200; nothing was taken from the car.
2:41 p.m. – A dispute between a 50-year old Mt. Vernon woman and her 52-year old Mt. Vernon boyfriend led to the man threatening her with a knife on Fenimore Road. The woman reported the dispute at police headquarters.
