Police Blotter: Thwarted Fight, Brown Bagged Liquor Snags Summons and Goodbye Side Mirror

The following arrest information was supplied by the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction

Friday, Oct. 14

1:50 a.m. – A 32-year old Yonkers woman aroused the attention of police when her 1992 Nissan was parked in a prohibited area blocking traffic in front of 745 Old White Plains Rd.  She was arrested and charged with DWI after failing sobriety tests.

3:32 a.m. – After being rear-ended by a person driving a 2001 Honda on the 1600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue, a 31-year old White Plains woman driving a 2010 Jeep refused medical attention for neck pain.

6:17 p.m. – While attempting to back out of a parking space on 525 N. Barry Ave., a 1994 Chrysler was struck and sustained damage to the right front wheel area. The perpetrator left the scene of the accident, evading detection.

9:21 p.m. – Screaming curses in public and making threats on West Boston Post Road caused a 16-year old village man to be charged with disorderly conduct and second degree harassment—unwanted verbal contact.

11:30 p.m. – Several loud youths making noise in the courtyard of the on 746 Mamaroneck Ave. put a cork in it and went inside after police arrived.

Saturday, Oct. 15

12:40 a.m. – A fight in progress on the 300 block of Mamaroneck Avenue fizzled out before any injuries could be had or charges filed. 

4:04 a.m. – A 24-year old White Plains man driving a 1997 Toyota was arrested and charged with DWI on Mamaroneck Avenue after being pulled over for a traffic infraction.

11:10 a.m. – The owner of a 2003 Honda reported damage to the driver’s side door and mirror sustained anytime between Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. and Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. while parked and unoccupied at Top of the Ridge.

2:59 p.m. – The driver’s side mirror was taken off of a 2011 Hyundai while it was parked and unoccupied on Rockland Avenue anytime between Oct. 14 at 9 p.m. and Oct. 15 at 10 a.m.

Sunday, Oct. 16

4:23 a.m.  – Several village residents—a 29-year old, 21-year old and 35-year old—were issued village code summonses for having open containers of liquor outside the on 601 Mamaroneck Ave.

7:40 p.m. – A resident of 1st Street reported two unauthorized transactions totaling $1,400 on his or her debit card.
