Police Blotter: Tire Thief Strikes Again and Pilfered Clothing
This week in the Village of Mamaroneck, a tire thief was interrupted, leaving without the tire and a person noticed a missing bag of clothing with their tune-up.

5:52 p.m. – A tire thief was thwarted in his attempts to steal the tire off a North Wagner Avenue resident’s car, leaving the hub cap and lug nuts on the ground next to the car.

Tuesday, Mar. 8
4:39 p.m. – An East Boston Post Road resident—after dropping their car at the shop for service along with $250 worth of clothing in the back seat—returned to the establishment the following day to find their car tuned up and their clothing missing.

5:05 p.m. – A dubious man on the 500 Block of Florence Street was allegedly asking people if they needed his window cleaning services. The man was no longer there when police arrived.
7:18 p.m. – After receiving a $700 bill from an unknown credit card, a Constable Drive resident realized that someone had attempted to fraudulently open an account in his or her name.

6:56 p.m. – An unknown person swiped a $200 cell phone off the shelf of a store on the 300 Block of Mamaroneck Avenue, and strolled out of the store with the phone in hand.

2:33 p.m. – A person attempted to use a $91 check from a closed account to make a purchase.
