Friday, September 9

10:09 a.m. – The owner of a 2002 Chrysler reported scratch marks on her vehicle that were sustained while the car was parked and unoccupied on Rock Ridge Road anytime between Sept. 8-9.

2:02 p.m. – Police received a report of a suspicious bag in the bushes near a pool on Mamaroneck Avenue.  Fortunately, the bag contained nothing suspicious and was deemed not to be a threat to public safety.

2:35 p.m. – An East Boston Post Road resident reported that business files maintained on an online server were somehow deleted from her account without permission.

2:54 p.m. – An ongoing war between two neighbors on Staub Court continued when one neighbor accused the other of strategically attempting to block her oil delivery truck by placing a potted plant on the sidewalk, causing her driveway to be partly impassable. 

3:31 p.m. – A truck got stuck under the bridge on Fenimore Road.  Metro-North police and Vincent’s Garage were notified.

5:33 p.m. – A 2007 Volvo was struck while parked on Rockland Avenue.

9:02 p.m. – Responding to a complaint from a third party, police observed a 35-year old village resident guzzling alcohol in public on the 1000 block of West Boston Post Road. Upon investigation, police also found him to be in possession of marijuana.  The man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and consuming alcohol in public.

9:31 p.m. – A 27-year old village man driving a 2001 Toyota was pulled over for a traffic violation in front of 420 Ward Ave.  He was later charged with DWI and arrested.

Saturday, September 10

1:06 a.m. – An 18-year old village man driving a 2004 Mazda was pulled over for a traffic violation in front of 658 Mamaroneck Ave.  He was later charged with DWI and arrested.

4:03 a.m. – A 26-year old Yonkers woman driving a 2011 Mercedes Benz was pulled over in front of 1234 Knickerbocker Ave. for a traffic infraction and later arrested and charged with DWI.

4:07 a.m. – Two men engaged in a verbal argument which quickly escalated to a sparring match, with one man receiving a punch square in the face.  One of the men—a 20-year old village resident—was arrested and charged with second degree harassment and resisting arrest.  The 48-year old West Harrison man who was hit suffered no lasting injuries other than a bruised ego.

7:55 a.m. – A homeowner on Orienta Avenue came outside to find a strange man curled up sleeping on his porch.  Police arrived to take the man home to his own bed.

1:23 p.m. – A woman reported her wallet—which was left on a table momentarily at McDonalds on Sept. 9—was stolen, possibly by people known to her.  She reported the incident for documentation purposes only and declined to press charges.

3:20 p.m. – A snapping turtle who lost it’s way was discovered on a boat ramp at .  Although a local trapper was unable to transport the animal, police kept watch until the turtle eventually found it’s way back into the water.

8:01 p.m. – A person driving a 2008 Land Rover and backing out of a spot in front of 322 Mamaroneck Ave., struck a 2006 Porsche that was stuck in traffic.  The person driving the Land Rover left the scene; there were no injuries.   

Sunday, September 11

 2:45 a.m. – A 26-year old Rye man driving a 1998 Honda was arrested and charged with DWI after he was pulled over for an equipment violation.

8:10 a.m. – A woman feeding animals on Van Ranst Place, near Columbus Park, was asked to stop as other’s claimed it caused an unpleasant condition.

11:40 a.m. – A harbor unit assisted a boat that was stuck in the rocks at the Larchmont Breakwater.

6:05 p.m. – An ambulance driver struck a stone wall on Greacen Point Road when he made a sharp right turn out of a driveway.  The right side of the ambulance and a side mirror were damaged.

Friday, September 9

3:53 p.m. - The owner of a 2010 Infiniti G37, an Eastchester resident, reported that he was struck by an unknown vehicle that made a sudden right turn on Weaver Street.  The left side of the Infiniti had minor damage.  The vehicle fled from the scene.

Saturday, September 10

8:37 a.m. – The owner of a car parked on Boston Post Road complained that the car’s side window was smashed, however, nothing was taken from the vehicle.  The car was locked at the time.
