Police: Mamaroneck Teen Sexually Abused 9-Year-Old

A 19-year-old Mamaroneck resident is being accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old boy.

Elmer Antonio Pinto, who lives at 243 Center Ave., was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal sexual act (a felony) on Aug. 11, police said, adding that this appeared to be an isolated incident.

The victim first alerted police of the incident on Aug. 7, while at police headquarters with his mother. Police will not comment at this time on the unrelated case that brought the victim and his mother there.

The encounters between Pinto and the victim took place in March and April of this year, over a one month period, police said. The victim/offender relationship will not be released.

Pinto appeared in Mamaroneck Village Court on Thursday, when he was remanded to Westchester County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. It is unknown if he made the bail.
