POST WINE & SPIRITS ANNOUNCES NEW OWNERSHIP

Grand Re-opening Saturday, September 16th

Larchmont, NY, September 14, 2017– Post Wine & Spirits is celebrating new ownership. Jake Lambertson and Leslie Bell have taken over the legendary wine and spirit shop that has been serving Larchmont, NY since 2 weeks after the end of Prohibition in 1933.

“We have made some changes to the shop to honor it’s 84 year history by restoring the feel of the shop to feel more like it did when the shop first opened. We’ve even built a Speakeasy for tastings in the basement that used to be used to run moonshine”

The new owners are excited about the rich history surrounding the shop and look forward to both preserving and adding to it. In addition to holding tastings in the speakeasy, the new ownership will be adding live music to some of those tastings. According to Jake Lambertson “We hope to turn Post Wine & Spirits into more than just a shop. We want to be part of the community and become a place to be as well as place to find the most unique wines and craft spirits around.”

Fourteen days after Prohibition was repealed in 1933, Post Wine & Spirits stocked its store with alcohol and has been open continuously ever since. Each wine and spirit that is placed on the shelf has been taste-selected by new owner and wine connoisseur Jake Lambertson. Post Wine & Spirits prides itself on finding small production wines at great prices and a staff that can steer you to the things you’ll love. The shop also makes a point of supporting local wine and spirit makers whenever possible.
