Join the Friends of the Library for a completely unique afternoon of theater featuring VoiceScapes Audio Theater. VoiceScapes is a modern day audio theater company formed in 2012 and made up of award-winning professional sound engineers, actors, writers and producers. The group performs short, contemporary original plays, both comedy and drama, complete with music and recorded sound effects.

The group performs in smaller venues, such as libraries and churches, as well as larger venues, including The Paley Center, The Times Center, the Dolby Theater in NYC, and the DeYor Performing Arts Center in Youngstown, Ohio. They have performed for the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), The Audio Engineering Society (AES), The HearNow Festival and Youngstown State University’s “Distinguished Artists Series.”

What makes VoiceScapes unique is that the group is self-contained and scale-able. They provide all the equipment for thier shows and they can create performances of any length from 30 minutes to two hours. They can also offer shows that are all comedy, all drama or an entertaining mix of both. VoiceScapes primarily performs in the New York Tri-State area but have traveled further for large events.
