Readings from the 2017 Westchester Review

The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library readings from The Westchester Review

The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library together with The Westchester Review, present readings by author’s whose works have been recently published in The Westchester Review’s 2017 edition. The readings will take place Sunday, October 29, at 4:00pm in the Larchmont Village Center, located directly behind the Larchmont Public Library at 121 Larchmont Avenue in Larchmont. Refreshments will be available beginning at 3:30pm.

Published annually, the editors of The Westchester Review welcome previously unpublished poems, stories and essays by writers who have lived, studied or worked in New York’s Westchester County area. According to publisher JoAnn Terdiman, The Westchester Review began with a conversation on a summer evening. "There are so many gifted writers here in the county," Terdiman said to her daughter. "’Wouldn't it be something if there were a journal for the many voices of Westchester?’ We looked at each other and said, ‘Why not?’" The Westchester Review is available in local bookstores throughout Westchester County including Anderson’s Book Shop in Larchmont, Womrath’s Book Shop in Bronxville and Arcade Book Sellers in Rye.

The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library are interested residents who contribute to the Library in important ways. Government funding alone cannot finance all the cultural events that the community currently enjoys. The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library— an independent 501c(3) not–for–profit organization — provides the money needed for these additional programs. For more information about the organization and additional programs offered, visit the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library online at www.friendsoflarchmontlibrary.org.
