Registration Begins Sept 5 for the 4th Annual Larchmont Scarecrow Festival

Registration opens on Friday, September 5th for the Fourth Annual Larchmont Scarecrow Festival sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library. To participate in this year’s festival, registration must be completed between Friday, September 5th and Saturday, October 4th. Registration can be done online at www.larchmontscarecrowfestival.org or by picking up an entry form at the library. The registration period will close on Saturday, October 4th. Registration is not available before September 5th.

The Annual Scarecrow Festival is a unique event in which participants purchase a metal frame on which to create their scarecrow. In addition to the nominal registration fee of $10, the scarecrow frame costs $20. Once each participant has their frame, the real fun begins…DECORATING! The Friends of the Larchmont Public Library have set aside two days to pick up the frame and decorate; Saturday, October 11, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, to come to the library to pick up the frame and begin the decoration process, and Friday, October 17, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be materials and craft supplies available for those participating to use. The completed scarecrows will be displayed on the front lawn of the library where they will be displayed from Saturday, October 18 through Saturday, October 25.
