Safe Streets Initiative Underway In Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, NY — The Village of Mamaroneck wants drivers to slow down, and to that end, it is putting a safe streets initiative into effect in collaboration with the Mamaroneck Police Department. The results will be more radar detection and crosswalk signs.

The village hired planning firm AKRF to come up with a strategy to make roads slower and crosswalks safer, the Journal News said.

The consultant is expected to be paid abut $25,000.
