Seaside Tri-Municipal Vigil Planned In Support Of Israel

Organizers say the event will be an opportunity to show support for friends, neighbors and families devastated by events in the Middle East.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A vigil will be held on Wednesday to show support for the people of Israel.

The ceremony will include elected and civic leaders from Larchmont, The Town of Mamaroneck and the Village of Mamaroneck. Larchmont Mayor Sarah Bauer, Town of Mamaroneck Mayor Jaine Elkind Eney and Village, and Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Tom Murphy are expected to attend the joint event.

"This will be an opportunity for the three communities to come together and show our support for our friends, neighbors and families who are devastated by the news of the ongoing terrorist attacks in Israel," Murphy said of the planned event. "Please attend and show that this truly is a community where we constantly look out for one another."

The vigil will be held at at 5:30 p.m. in Harbor Island Park at the bandstand near Stephen E. Johnston Beach.
