Sedona Taphouse Marks Sound Shore St. Pat’s Scholarship Fund

March Steak-Out for Charity to Benefit Scholarship Fund

Mamaroneck’s Sedona Taphouse has designated the Sound Shore St. Patrick’s Day Parade Scholarship Fund as their March fund-raiser. Each Monday in the month of March, steak eaters will be donating $1 to the scholarship fund with each steak dinner purchase at either lunch or dinner. There will be a 50-50 raffle as well to support the scholarship fund raising efforts.

The Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade Scholarship Committee has awarded a total of $25,000 in scholarships, a tradition that began seven years ago with the first Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade. "Our aim has always been two things, said Laura Murphy, parade committee President, “To organize a great parade event for the Sound Shore community and also provide for scholarships for deserving students who have dedicated part of their lives to preserving Irish culture and heritage in our area."

The 7th annual parade will be led by Grand Marshal Raymond “Doc” Kiernan, retired New Rochelle Fire Commissioner and lifelong Sound Shore resident. The Sound Shore St. Patrick's Day Parade represents the entire Sounds Shore community from Port Chester to Pelham, and is a celebration of Irish heritage and the American immigrant experience as well as a tribute to our community first responders, and a great family event..
