Sound Shore Voters Meet The Candidates For The New NY3
The first public candidate forum for the Democrat candidates vying for a Congressional seat in the newly drawn District 3 is March 10.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The Sound Shore's brand-new NY-3 Congressional District will take some getting used to, but an upcoming candidate forum will help those of us who will now have new representation get to know some of the players a little bit better.
The 3rd Congressional District now includes Pelham, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye, Rye Brook and Port Chester in Westchester County. An eastern sliver of the Bronx was also added to a narrower stretch of Nassau County's North Shore, parts of northeastern Queens and parts of northwestern Suffolk County.
The crowded race features some familiar faces to voters and a few candidates that will need a bit more of an introduction — at least on this side of the Long Island Sound.

The race for the Democratic nomination includes former North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan, Port Washington's Melanie D'Arrigo, Oyster Bay's Reema Rasool, and Great Neck's Robert Zimmerman.
