Speeding Driver On I-95 Charged With Drug Possession

Police said the Massachusetts man had pot and crack-cocaine.

MAMARONECK, NY — The driver of a car speeding on I-95 was arrested on drug charges.

State Police said Tre Watson, 24, of Springfield, MA, was stopped around 10 p.m. March 12 for driving allegedly at 95 mph in 55 mph zone.

Police said he had in his possession crack-cocaine and marijuana.

He was taken to the New Rochelle barracks for processing, where he was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and a speeding violation.

Watson was arraigned in the Village of Mamaroneck Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or bond.
