Subaru Makes Surprise Entrance Into Larchmont Store

Larchmont’s had an unexpected visitor today when, in a flurry of broken glass, a blue Subaru came crashing through the front window a little after 1 p.m.

According to John Caparelli, captain of the Larchmont Fire Department, an elderly man was attempting to back his car into a space on Chatsworth Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, running over the curb and backing into the front window of the beauty products store instead.

There were no injuries and only minor damages to the window and its frame.

“It was more of a mess than anything,” said Caparelli.

The car was towed and traffic is again moving normally
