Teen Injured At Mamaroneck HS When Construction Van Drives Over Her

Emergency crews used a $25,000 tool for the rescue.

MAMARONECK, NY — A teenage girl was trapped under a construction van Monday outside of Mamaroneck High School and, amazingly, was not seriously injured. Emergency crews were called to the school around 9 a.m. after the driver of the vehicle moved it closer to the building and accidentally drove over the 15-year-old.

The girl had sat down on a grassy hill, not realizing the van was nearby, lohud.com said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
