Town of Mamaroneck Earns 'Distinguished Budget Presentation' Award
The award was given by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the town's 2023 budget.

TOWN OF MAMARONECK, NY — The budget process in the Town of Mamaroneck is being pointed to as an example to be emulated by other municipalities around the country.
The Town of Mamaroneck just received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its 2023 budget.
According to the GFOA, the award recognizes that the governing body and staff who prepared the budget have met the highest principles of governmental budgeting and set an example for other governments to follow.

"Congratulations to Town Comptroller Tracy Yogman and her staff on this important recognition of their work," Town Supervisor Jaine Elkind Eney said. "I believe this award reflects the care and commitment that all of our employees in the Town of Mamaroneck take in serving our residents."
In order to receive the award, the town had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation and be rated proficient in four categories as well as meet 14 mandatory criteria. The Town of Mamaroneck is among over 1,700 municipalities who participated in the
program.

The town and the comptroller’s department will receive a Certificate of Recognition for Budget
Presentation and the budget documents have been posted on GFOA's website.
