Victim in Deadly Mamaroneck Basement Fire Is Identified

The name of the 33-year-old Mamaroneck man discovered dead after firefighters put out a house fire has been released by authorities.

MAMARONECK, NY — Officials have released the name of the 33-year-old victim of a deadly house fire in Mamaroneck on Sunday.

Authorities said today that Roberto Pallas, who lived at the address, was killed.

The fire in a home on Walnut Street first reported shortly before noon was quickly extinguished by firefighters, but a body was later discovered in the home.

There has been no word yet on the cause of the house fire. The Westchester County Cause and Origin Team and a Westchester County Public Safety arson specialist are said to be investigating.
