Village and Town of Mamaroneck Police Blotters
Last week, there were several auto accidents with injuries, including two pedestrians being struck.

Last week, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents:
Auto accidents with injuries
-On April 24, at approximately 5 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Park Avenue and Hunter Street. Both operators and a passenger were taken to Sound Shore Medical Center for evaluation. Injuries are unknown.

- On April 25, at approximately 1:50 p.m., an operator traveling southbound on North Barry Avenue was turning left onto East Boston Post Road when she hit a pedestrian at the intersection. The driver told police she did not see the pedestrian. The pedestrian, who did not know if the pedestrian signal was illuminated when she crossed, was taken to the hospital for slight injuries.

- On April 26, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on the 1600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue, a 37-year-old female was stopped by an officer for making an unsafe lane change. The officer detected an odor of alcohol in her breath and arrested her. The female refused to take a chemical test, a violation, and was charged with three other violations and with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was held overnight, later released on $250 cash bail and is due back in court on April 29th.
- On April 26, at approximately 7:15 a.m., a motor vehicle accident occurred on the 400 block of Halstead Avenue and one of the operators drove away from the scene, police said. An officer stopped the operator, who was driving while intoxicated, and arrested him. The man, a 19-year-old resident of the Village, was later charged with leaving the scene of an auto accident, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed, refusing to submit to a chemical test and DWI by observation.
Burglary/criminal mischief at the Hampshire
- On April 20, at approximately 12:40 p.m., police responded to the Hampshire Country Club on a report of someone forcibly entering an office area. The suspect entered through the second floor window and destroyed numerous pieces of property, but nothing appeared to be missing, police said.
- On April 22, between 1 and 4 p.m., the glass to a rear door of the Hampshire Country Club was broken, a person who was there before and after the incident told police.
Larceny
- A parking meter was reportedly missing near 125 E Prospect Avenue on April 19.
- A large amount of property was stolen from a resident's storage unit at the Avalon Willow Apartments on Mamaroneck Avenue, police said. No sign of forced entry was detected. The value of the items is unknown at this time.
- Between the evening of April 24 and the morning of April 25, a GPS was taken from a vehicle parked on Cedar Street, police said. Doors may have been unlocked. During that same time frame, $30 in quarters were taken from another vehicle on the same street. The doors were possibly unlocked as well, police said.
Noise
- The owner of Molly Spillane's on Mamaroneck Avenue was issued a Village Ordinance violation after a noise complaint was made on April 23 at 11:30 p.m.
In addition, police investigated 20 motor vehicle accidents.
Also last week, the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department investigated the following incidents:
Pedestrian struck
- On the morning of April 21st, a vehicle making a left turn from Chatsworth Avenue onto westbound Myrtle Boulevard struck a pedestrian at the crosswalk. The pedestrian complained of back pain and was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center.
Criminal mischief
- On April 16, at approximately 1 a.m., residents of a multiple dwelling on Boston Post Road reported that two air conditioning units in their residence had been damaged. The cost of the damage was valued at $250.
Criminal possession of marihuana
- On April 20th, at 4:20 p.m., a 62-year-old male from Greenwich, Conn., was charged with criminal possession of marihuana after being found with a marihuana cigarette and a small envelope with marihuana while parked on Myrtle Boulevard.
Police reported five motor vehicle accidents.
