Village of Larchmont Police Blotter

The week of December 19-26 saw an arrest and a few larceny incidents.

Here's a look at some of the incidents investigated by the officers of the Larchmont Police Department from Dec. 19 to Dec. 26.

Vehicle and Traffic Law Arrest

On Dec. 19, a Pelham Manor man was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed driving his vehicle in the wrong direction on Railroad Way Avenue. The vehicle was impounded, and the operator released on $200 bail.

Larceny

1) On Dec. 21, Mamaroneck Village resident reported that he parked his vehicle in a private parking lot on Boston Post Road on Dec. 13, and that upon returning to said vehicle, he discovered the license plates had been removed there from.

2) On Dec. 21, a Mamaroneck Town resident reported that sometime during the day, while she was at work at a professional office on West Avenue, someone stole her wallet containing $200 in cash, as well as credit cards and personal papers.  The wallet was recovered later that day by a Larchmont police officer, who found it on the ground. The cash had been removed.

3) On Dec. 22, a Stuyvesant Avenue resident reported that someone attempted to make unauthorized purchases using his stolen credit card.

In addition to the preceding, Larchmont Police Officers also responded to Following: nine burglar alarms, seven motor vehicle accidents, eight aided cases and 18 other calls for service. 

Arrest Warrant

A New Rochelle man was arrested and detained by immigration and customs enforcement agents after a Larchmont police sergeant discovered the existence of an active warrant of arrest for the individual.

No major fire incidents were reported by the Village of Larchmont Fire Department on these dates.
