A driver is arrested, three vehicles are impounded

The following is a brief synopsis of some of the incidents investigated by the officers of the Larchmont Police Department during the week beginning 01/01/10 and ending 01/09/10.

Vehicle and Traffic Law Arrest

A Schoare County man was arrested on 01/01 and charged with operating with a suspended license after he was observed operating his vehicle while using a cell phone on Chatsworth Ave.  The vehicle was impounded, and the operator released on $200 bail.

Vehicle Impounds 

- A scofflaw vehicle with $300 in outstanding fines was impounded and towed from Hall Ave on 1/8.

- A scofflaw vehicle with $380 in outstanding fines was impounded and towed from Lot 1 on 1/8.

In addition to the preceding, Larchmont Police Officers also responded to Following:

- Burglar alarms: 6

- Motor vehicle accidents: 1

- Aided cases: 12

- Other calls for service: 46
