Water Leak on Chatsworth Ave Being Fixed
A section of the westbound lane is blocked off.
A section of the westbound traffic lane of Chatsworth Avenue, from the Larchmont Post Office to Chat 19, is currently blocked off due to a water leak. Work is expected to be completed by the end of the day tomorrow.
"We have located the water leak and it is being fixed," said Pat Zeh, a laborer for the Department of Public Works. "We have to replace a section of a pipe."
The water leak had expanded over a portion of the avenue, starting where the post office is and almost reaching the intersection with Boston Post Road.

"It was a hazard for anyone who walked by," said Andrew Buccafusca, a road maintenance foreman at DPW. The road and sidewalk are now dry.
For those of you driving by, the situation changes as trucks arrive and leave the work site. If you make a right onto Chatsworth Avenue from Boston Post Road, you might be able to park in the spaces closest to Boston Post Road. Otherwise, bear left. The eastbound lanes are not affected, but traffic is heavier in that part of the avenue.
