WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The heavy rain Monday took a toll on Westchester beaches. The following beaches are preemptively closed for at least 48 hours July 23 and July 24 due to 2.48 inches of rain overnight and Tuesday morning.

- Beachpoint
- Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht
- Orienta Club
- Echo Bay Yacht Club
- Hudson Park
- Shore Acres
- Coveleigh Club
- Davenport Club
- Greentree Club
- Surf Club
Westchester officials said the closures may be extended pending sample results.
The following permitted beaches on Mohegan Lake in Yorktown are closed until further notice due to blue-green algae blooms in the regulated swimming areas:
